Baan Nong Boat School

Exterior of Baan Nong Boat School

The main classroom building at Baan Nong Boat Primary School has been a long-standing problem at the school as there is no funding to replace it.

The roof has blown off a number of times in high winds, and most of the flooring has been infested with termites. Students are frequently evacuated from the building during periods of bad weather as the walls move significantly.

We are planning to raise funds for a new classroom building for this school to address the significant safety risks.

Baan Nong Boat School is the second largest primary school in the Nang Rong district and has 540 students. The school is in a rural area where most of the local families are quite poor. The school grounds consist of bare red dirt with no grass and few safe playing areas. There are few buildings and some are run down.
