How we raise funds
The Ripple Effect team raises funds in a variety of ways including:
-
Public speaking: We regularly address Rotary
meetings and interested groups where we tell participants about The Ripple Effect and its continuing work. Rotary Clubs and individual Rotarians have been very supportive to a range of projects.

-
Community media and local business: We receive support from local newspapers that generate editorial about our activities, which helps to increase our reach into the community.

-
Sustainability projects: By training students in vocational skills or giving them the tools to produce goods to sell, we have created a means for schools to raise funds. Team members have brought fabrics made by students back to Australia to sell and contribute funds towards other projects for schools.
-
Volunteer initiatives: Volunteers who take part on the trip to Thailand must initiate their own fundraising ideas. Volunteers have raised funds at their workplaces, community groups and networks.
- Schools Project: The Ripple Effect has recently implemented a schools program where schools around Australia can get involved in projects. Involvement may include fundraising, having a speaker come to do a workshop and pen pals.
