Our supporters
The Ripple Effect and The Population and Community Development Association, Thailand
The Ripple Effect works closely with and is assisted by Thai non-government organisations, including the Population and Community Development Association (PDA), the largest non-government organisation in Thailand.
PDA has offshoots in rural areas, called Community Building in Rural Development (CBIRD), assisting us with the transfer of money from Australia to the schools and acts as an intermediary between the schools and young people running the project. CBIRD has been a major contributor to the success of the project by assisting with communication between Australia and Thailand, money transfer and general information about the area and needs.
The Ripple Effect and The Henry George Foundation
The Ripple Effect is fortunate to have the support of The Henry George Foundation who look after our accounts and act as a base for our donations. The Henry George Foundation is a non-government organisation devoted to education and awareness issues with regard to land use and poverty, and is proactive in supporting the initiatives of young people.
The Ripple Effect and Rotary
From our inception, Rotary has ensured that the The Ripple Effect continues to be the successful project that it is.
With:
- funding for projects
- advice for developments in the program
- practical help packing donations.
We have enjoyed the tireless and ongoing support from numerous Rotary Clubs and individual Rotarians from Melbourne.
The Ripple Effect and (RAWCS).
Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) has supported The Ripple Effect through approving the project to be a part of RAWCS which also allows us to be tax deductible.
Brighton North Rotary Club
Brighton North Rotary Club is our Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) support club. As well as funding numerous Ripple Effect programs, including health and safety initiatives and educational programs, Brighton North Rotary Club makes mentor Virginia Turner available to support our team in fundraising and development. In her capacity as a member of the Brighton North Rotary Club, Virginia recommended and championed the Ripple Effect for recognition as a RAWCS approved project.
